Kirkland Lake Head Coach & GM Kyle Smart continues to roster build, signing 18 year old Benjamin Armatage.
Armatage who hails from Barrie, Ont, spent last season with the Barrie Colts U18 AAA, Coach Smart says,” coming from the Barrie Colts U 18 program, we know he’s been taught well.”
Smart adds,”Ben plays a 200 foot game, responsible in his own end and dangerous in the offensive zone. It’ll be fun to watch him grow at this level.”
Smart says as far as recruiting goes, we are close to done, we have a few of our guys attending camps in other leagues, hoping to have them all back, otherwise, it’s a matter of replacing who doesn’t return.
