Coach & GM Ryan Wood announced today that 18 yr old, 5’11’ 185 lb winger Vito Sica has joined the Club. Sica, from Caledon, spent last season with the York Simcoe Express Midget AAA team in the ETAHL. With the Express last season Vito logged 23 points in 32 games, good for 4th in team scoring, he also added 27 pims to his stat line.
Vito, a self described “power forward with a heavy shot”, chose to sign with the GoldMiners “because of the reputation the fans and organization has, I can’t wait to get up there and get started.”
Coach Wood adds, “Vito is another piece of the puzzle that is going to make us hard to play against.” Coach Wood goes on to say, ” this is a strong power forward with good leadership skills, as he wore an ‘A’ for his last club.”
