The Kirkland Lake Goldminers are pleased to announce Cam Allen, an ’05 born righthanded defenceman has signed for the 2022- 23 season. Cam, a Sudbury resident, spent the last 2 seasons with Sudbury in the Great North Midget League. Goldminers fans may be familiar with Allen, who played 5 games last season scoring twice with an assist.
At the midget level Cam notched 15 points in 22 games last season. Head Coach & GM Kyle Smart says, “Allen has good offensive instincts to go along with good defensive zone awareness, we expect big things from this young man, right from the start.”
Kirkland Lakers would know his grandpa, John Halsall and mother, Shannon, sort of a homecoming for Cam. More player announcements are coming, stay tuned.
