Kyle Smart, Kirkland Lake Goldminers Head Coach & GM is happy to announce, rock-solid d-man Ian McDonald will be patrolling the blueline, in his final junior season.
The 20 year old 6’2”, 200lb Englehart native started with the Miners as an AP in the 2019 season.
Coach Smart says, “it’s great to have I-Mac back, he has improved his stock each year with us, and now he is being counted on to be a leader.”
“He’ll be a major part of our defensive backbone” says Smart. Ian has had a good off season building his body into a bigger, faster stronger version of himself, “and you know he is as tough as they come.” Last season McDonald had 5 goals & 7 assists in 46 games.
