Matt Hill Returns

Kirkland Lake Goldminers Coach & GM Kyle Smart is happy to announce feisty forward Matt Hill will be back in Goldminers colors for the 2022-23 NOJHL season.

The ’04 born 18 yr old, 5’9 165lb center from Haileybury, missed all of last season with a knee injury, he’s hoping to be back on the ice for training camp.

Coach Smart says, “we missed his attitude last season, his feistiness, he’s not a big guy but he’s fearless, in your face”, he gives us a dimension that we don’t have a lot of.

Matt is dying to get back, saying, “it’s tough to sit and watch your boys struggling, knowing you can’t help, I am so looking forward to this season”.

Coach Smart continues to assemble his roster, with potential signings from last weekend’s summer tourney in Toronto, coming in the next few days.
