KL Comes Together for Humboldt

Saturday afternoon, April 14th, the Town of Kirkland Lake, the Kirkland Lake Minor Hockey Association and the Kirkland Lake GoldMiners Jr A Hockey Club are hosting A Fundraising Skate For Humboldt, at the Kirkland Lake Community Complex, beginning at 5pm.

The Kirkland Lake community has come together to show our compassion for the Humboldt community in the wake of the horrific tragedy April 6th.

There will be lots to do Saturday afternoon, thanks to great community partners, Tim Horton’s, who will provide free hot chocolate to all.

Northern College Massage Therapy students will be providing 15 minute massages, for a donation to the cause.

Lee O’Reilly’s Skate Sharpening Shop will touch yours up, for a donation to the cause.

Have a snack at the Complex canteen and a portion of the day’s sales will be donated to the cause.

There will be great raffle prizes, highlighted by a Mitch Marner, Toronto Maple Leafs jersey.

Get your Memorial sticker and Memorial placard , free of charge, donations to cause accepted. Volunteers will mount the placard (screws) to any surface you would like, a Memorial stick, for example.

As for the on ice portion of the event, we will arrive before 5pm, on ice at 5.
