The Kirkland Lake Goldminers are happy to introduce Richard Schoeneich as their new Head Coach and Co-General Manager, effective immediately. The 42 year-old, from Rouyn-Noranda joins the Goldminers after two plus seasons with College Abitibi-Temiscamingue, serving under Head Coach Maxime Boisclair.
Schoeneich previously was bench boss with the Citadelle midget program and was an assistant on the regional team at the Quebec Games.
Schoeneich will be behind the bench for tonight’s game against French River, at the Complex, as well, Assistant Coaches Rick Witty and Jed Allick will be on the full time staff, with Tom Sinclair in an advisory & part time coaching role, while Schoeneich along with Barry Ferguson, will look after the General Manager duties.
