GoldMiners Alumni Moving Into NCAA Coaching Ranks

Kirkland Lake GoldMiners are extremely proud to announce, two former members of the organization, former Captain Ethan Strong along with former Assistant Coach Austin Cline, have accepted coaching positions on US College coaching staffs.

Ethan Strong, former Captain, All-Star & Defenceman of the Year in the NOJHL, spent 4 years patrolling the blueline at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, serving as an Assistant Captain his junior & senior years, winning 2 NCAA D-III National Championships, has been hired as an Assistant Coach on Coach Tyler Krueger’s Pointers staff.

Austin Cline, a Northern Michigan University grad, who spent almost 2 seasons with the GoldMiners, first as Strength & Conditioning Coach, then as a full fledged Assistant last season, has joined  Arizona State University, in Tempe, Arizona as an Assistant Coach for the Sun Devils ACHA D1 & D2 teams.

The GoldMiners wish both of these passionate hockey men all the best in their new positions, as we take as much pride in our coaches as we do our players, as they move up the ladder, fulfilling their dreams, cheers from the Boys!
