Another former Kirkland Lake GoldMiner, 20 year old Vinny DeSanctis has announced his com-
itment to NCAA Div III Wentworth Institute of Technology, in Boston, Massachusetts.
DeSanctis who was the GoldMiners 4th leading scorer 2 seasons ago, with 38 pts in 51 games,
spent last season in the NAHL, primarily with the Odessa Jackalopes, credits his year in the
NOJHL, as “a huge development year in my hockey growth and personal growth as well”.
Vinny says he’s “looking forward to joining the Leopards under coach Jay Pecora, fulfilling a
dream of playing NCAA Hockey.” The 5’11”,190 lb winger has a grittiness to his game, 93 pims
in 21 games with Odessa.
The Leopards play in the Commonwealth Coast Conference and are an ECAC member.
