Stavros Soilis off to Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Stavros Soilis has signed an Indiana Tech Letter of Intent and will join the Warrior men’s ice hockey program for the 2017-18 season, head coach Frank DiCristofaro announced.

“Stavros brings an impressive resume from juniors into our fold,” DiCristofaro said. “He has great touch around the net and can be a game breaker in open ice. I’m excited to see what he can do at the college level.”

A 5’10”, 185-pound right winger, Soilis hails from Grenville, Quebec and most recently played for Kirkland Lake Gold Miners of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. He recorded 17 goals and 22 assists in 51 games for the Gold Miners while wearing the Assistant Captain’s “A” this past season. The son of Nikos Soilis and Potoula Ekonomopoulos, he plans to major in Business Marketing at Tech.

“I chose to come to Indiana Tech because of the business program and the hockey team,” Soilis said. “My goal is help the team win a championship.”
