SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Tuesday that they have partnered with CCM Hockey as part of the upcoming NOJHL first and second all-star team awards, which will be presented in the coming weeks to honour player and team staff excellence for the 2015-16 season.
The iconic hockey brand will join the NOJHL in recognizing the accomplishments of those members in the league, who will have been deemed to have earned a place on both the CCM first and second all-star squads for their efforts during the course of the campaign.
A centre, left wing and right wing, a pair of defencemen, a goaltender as well as head coach, general manager and trainer or equipment manager will be honoured with CCM Hockey first team all-star laurels.
Nine other individuals will also earn CCM Hockey second team all-star recognition in the same areas for their respective accomplishments during this season.
“We welcome CCM Hockey on board and sincerely thank them for their commitment and support of the NOJHL in our efforts to help us identify and recognize the exceptional accomplishments of our league players and team staffs this season,” stated league Commissioner Robert Mazzuca.
“The growth, ongoing recognition and support the NOJHL continues to earn, not only in northern Ontario, but across the entire Canadian Junior Hockey League with such national partners as Saputo, Nielson Dairy, Gongshow Gear, Eastlink TV and CCM Hockey, is a testament to the hard work and dedication put in by our league, member clubs, players, team staffs, volunteers and a loyal fan base,” added Mazzuca.
