NOJHL announces start time change to Gold Miners – Voodoos contest Sunday

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League has announced a change to the start time to the Sunday, Jan. 8 contest between the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners and Powassan Voodoos at the Joe Mavrinac Community Complex.

The game, which was originally slated to get underway at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, will now begin at 4 p.m.

There are four NOJHL match-ups on the slate tonight including Kirkland Lake hosting the Timmins Rock while Powassan puts their impressive 23-game winning streak on the line as they visit the Cochrane Crunch at the Tim Horton Event Centre in a pair of 7:30 p.m. starts.

Also on the league schedule this evening has the Soo Thunderbirds welcoming the rival Soo Eagles to Essar Centre at 7 p.m. and Espanola visiting Elliot Lake at 7:30 p.m.
