Kirkland Lake GoldMiners Head Coach & General Manager Kyle Smart has added to his forward group, acquiring Powassan Voodoos winger Jackson Buffam.

The ’02 Cobalt born, former Captain of the GNML New Liskeard Cubs, signed with Powassan, but with the Voodoos taking a leave of absence, their players are free to join other NOJHL clubs, for the balance of this season.
Last season, Buffam, captain of the New Liskeard Cubs, put up 49 pts in 35 games, including 18 goals. The highly regarded Buffam joins a GoldMiners squad that is 3-2 on the season, with Hearst next on the schedule, for the mid January resumption of play.
