Kirkland Lake GoldMiners Head Coach & GM Kyle Smart continues to shape his roster, acquiring 20 year old center Matt King, from the Aurora Tigers of the OJHL for a PDF.
The Lindsay, Ontario native spent the last 2 seasons with Lindsay in the OJHL, before being dealt to Aurora at the trade deadline last season.
Coach Smart says, “I’ve watched Matt play with Connor Van Weelie this summer and there seems to be instant chemistry between them, both being Everest Academy grads.”
Coach Smart adds, “this kid is a tireless worker, everywhere on the ice, with his quickness, we think Matt can be a dynamic player for us this season”.
