The Kirkland Lake GoldMiners of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement in principle to retain Kyle Smart as Head Coach and General Manager. No terms or details will be released at the present time.
“Kyle has gone above and beyond during his time with the GoldMiners as Interim Head Coach and the organization feels that with Kyle at the helm we are in a fantastic position once the resumption of play in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League is officially announced.” says Steve Cox , President of the GoldMiners.
“His dedication to the program , his ability to recruit new players to Kirkland Lake and his ability to motivate returning players to want to come back to Kirkland Lake , are assets that we seek in our Head Coach and General Manager “ says Cox , “ We look forward to seeing Kyle work on a daily basis with both new and returning players to put together a highly competitive and motivated team .”
