GTP Returns to Lead the Offense

Kirkland Lake GoldMiners Head Coach & GM Ryan Wood confirms 19 year old Gregory Trudeau-Paquet has committed to the club for 2018-19.

The 5’11” 190 lb center is the leading returning scorer from last year’s team, split between French River & the Miners, in total GTP had 64 pts in 52 games, including 28 goals.

Gregory has some lofty expectations, both for the team and personally, ” I think we can make a run for the Dudley-Hewitt Cup this season, and I think I will be counted on to be one of the offensive catalysts for the club. I know there has been just 1 GoldMiner to ever get to 100 pts in a season……might be cool to make it two!”

Coach & GM Ryan Wood says, “I am not sure we’ve seen the best of GTP yet, when he joined us midway last season, there was a period of adjustment, new systems, we asked him to play a bit on the wing, and the point on the PP, so for a while, he was thinking too
much. This season we expect him to be a leader both on and off the ice.”

GTP says he’s been working hard this off season, getting ready, and “I am pumped for the
new season, can’t wait to get started and see what we can do!”
