Coach & GM Ryan Wood is pleased to announce the GoldMiners have signed 18 yr old Marc McCreary, of Oro, Ontario. Marc joins us from the North Central Predators AAA Midget program from the Eastern AAA Hockey League.
The gritty 2 way center, brings speed, smarts, defensive responsibility & a physical edge to his game. Last season McCreary logged 22 pts & 72 pims in 29 games. Marco, as he likes to be called, describes himself as “a fast-paced player, that moves the puck well, likes to get physical and loves to outwork his opponent.”
Coach Wood says “Marco brings grit & jam and is one of those kids that will make us hard to play against.”
Marco said it was an easy decision to choose the GoldMiners after talking to Coach Wood. “I believe he will help develop me as a player and a young man,” Marco stated, adding, “Coach seems very fair, no promises, my production will dictate my ice time.”
Marco also is looking forward “to the small town atmosphere and playing in front of a passionate crowd.”
