Kirkland Lake Goldminers Head Coach & GM Kyle Smart continues his off season roster building, signing 17 year old forward Luca Maiuri. The 6’2” 190 lb winger from Orangeville joins the Goldminers from the Tottenham Thunder of the Greater Metro Jr A Hockey League (GMHL), where, like the rest of the Province, his season was cut short by the coronavirus pandemic.
Coach Smart says “Luca is a young talented player with good size and a great work ethic, that we feel will be a big contributor once he acclimatizes to the Junior game.” With a late December birthdate, the ’03 born Maiuri, “will be a big part of our future as well.”
