The Kirkland Lake Gold Miners are pleased to announce that they have signed Maxime Choquette from St.Isidore, Ont. Choquette’s playing rights had been acquired in an earlier trade with the Casselman Vikings. The 19 year old forward played 38 games last season for Casselman where he scored 30 goals and added 35 assists. Choquette, 5’ 11” and 180lbs was a former 1st overall pick in the 2011 CCHL’s bantam draft. Head coach/GM Marc Lafleur says that Choquette will bring a pure scoring touch with junior experience.
