Kirkland Lake Goldminers Head Coach & GM Kyle Smart continues to shape his roster for the 2021-22 NOJHL season.

The Goldminers have acquired ’04 forward Matt Hill, of North Cobalt, from the Cochrane Crunch, for a PDF. Hill, a 5’9 160lb gritty forward, spend last year’s pandemic shortened season with the Cochrane Crunch, prior to that Hill, had 28 pts in 36 games along with 76 pims, with the New Liskeard Cubs of the GNML.

Coach Smart says,”Matt is a quick, feisty, in your face kind of player, who can get under an opponent’s skin”. Coach Smart adds,”Matt is the kind of player, KL fans are gonna love”.

The Goldminers made another move, sending 20 year old Kyler Campbell to Rayside-Balfour Canadians, for a PDF. Smart says, “Kyler’s a great kid, who asked to be moved to the Sudbury area, for school considerations” and we were able to oblige.
