THE PUSH FOR CHANGE COMES TO KIRKLAND LAKE

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) – On February 12, 2017 the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in partnership with the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners Hockey Club, the Town of Kirkland Lake and the Canadian Mental Health Association will be hosting “The Push for Change Hockey for the Homeless Event”.  Players and coaching staff of the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners will teach a hockey skills camp for 25 children aged 6 to 12 years old. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and refreshments, courtesy of LG Embroidery and Tim Horton’s.

This session will be held at the Civic Park Outdoor Rink in Kirkland Lake from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The cost for this event is $25 and a non-perishable food item donation per child.  The Canadian Mental Health Association will have a booth at the event to raise awareness and share information to people in attendance.

Registration takes place at the Joe Mavrinac Community Complex front desk.
