Pointstreak CJHL Top 20 Weekly Rankings

CALGARY, Alberta (February 9, 2015) – The top four teams in the Pointstreak CJHL Top 20 Rankings hold onto their spots this week, with the Portage Terriers of the MJHL nearing the magical 50-wins in a regular season, and the Spruce Grove Saints extending their winning streak to a whopping 18 consecutive games. There are a few changes in the rankings, while each league is shaping up to have great playoff races, and every game is crucial as the regular season begins to wind down.

The Penticton Vees keep battling for first in the BCHL standings with the Nanaimo Clippers holding firm atop the standings of the Island Division, while the Salmon Arm Silverbacks are rolling and gaining ground at exactly the right time. Spruce Grove is unstoppable in the AJHL, but the Okotoks Oilers are also catching fire, and are enjoying a perfectly timed five-game winning streak.

The Melfort Mustangs and the Kindersley Klippers remain the top teams in the SJHL, but the Notre Dame Hounds, Flin Flon Bombers and Nipawin Hawks are all tied for third spot overall in Saskatchewan.

Portage is running away with the MJHL, but there is a battle between the Winnipeg Blues, Steinbach Pistons, Winkler Flyers and Virden Oil Capitals for second place overall in Manitoba.

The Fort Frances Lakers remain firmly on top of the SIJHL standings; while in the NOJHL, the Soo Thunderbirds have moved ahead of the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners for first place overall.

The Aurora Tigers remain locked in a dogfight with the Trenton Golden Hawks and Georgetown Raiders for the top spot in the OJHL, while the Carleton Place Canadians are still the cream of the crop in the CCHL.

The Sherbrooke Cougars have moved ahead of the College Francais de Longueuil for the overall lead in the LHJQ standings, and the Woodstock Slammers remain at the top of the standings in the MHL. The Dieppe Commandos hold onto their 19th place ranking with a great winning percentage. The Commandos still hold several games in hand over both the Pictou County Weeks Crushers and the Yarmouth Jr. ‘A’ Mariners.
