KIRKLAND LAKE, Ont. – Henry Ouellet scored twice, including collecting the game-winner early on, while Alexandre Boivin picked up his Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League-leading seventh win and first shutout of the season in blanking the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners 4-0 Sunday afternoon at Joe Mavrinac Community Complex.

Converting on a power play, just over six minutes into the match-up, Ouellet took a cross-ice feed from Mathieu Comeau on the right side and whipped it past Kirkland Lake netminder Brian Rathwell.

More from Ouellet at 13:33 saw him crank in another blast as he teed one up from the right face-off dot while the Lumberjacks were on a man advantage.

Moving to the middle frame, the visitors added to their cushion early when Theo Bourdon-Lemoyne pumped one past Rathwell while moving down the left wing.

Still up three into the third period, Hearst extended the edge to four when Keenan Quenneville got just enough of a shot on a two-man break with Cole Shepherdson to see it squeak through the legs of Rathwell and trickle across the goal line at 7:27.

Boivin and the Lumberjacks defensive corps did the rest in wrapping up the victory and finishing a three-game road trip with two wins and an overtime setback.
