The Kirkland Lake gold miners are happy to announce the signing of 19 year-old defenseman Jake Mottershaw for the 2013-2014 season. Jake played for the Caledon Golden Hawks of the GMOHL last season. He is a 6’2” 201 lbs. hard-nosed defenseman who scored 6 goals and added 12 assists in 33 games with the Golden Hawks, as well as amassing 109 penalty minutes.
“Jake will bring size and attitude to our blue line and a defensive presence. We are extremely happy that he is on board with us as his reputation of being a great teammate fits in with our philosophy”.
