Kirkland Lake GoldMiners Coach & General Manager Trevor Ritchie continues to add to his roster ahead of August 18th’s opening of training camp, adding forward Caleb Thompson to the squad.
Thompson, 15, stands 5’9 160 lbs, from Alliston, Ontario, played with the Barrie Colts Minor Midget Colts last season, scoring 19 points in 33 games, then adding 12 in just 7 playoff games, in the Eastern AAA Minor Midget Hockey League.
Coach Trevor Ritchie says, “this young man’s biggest attribute is his skating ability & hockey IQ, which will let him succeed despite his young age.” Ritchie adds, “Caleb is a hard worker, with a high compete level, he’s fun to watch.”
Thompson and the rest of the GoldMiners hopefuls hit the ice Sunday, August 18th at 3:30, fir the first training camp practice session.
