The Kirkland Lake Goldminers Junior A Hockey club are pleased to announce that Kyle Smart has been retained as the Head Coach and General Manager of the Northern Ontario Junior A Hockey League club. No terms of the contract were announced. “We feel very positive that Kyle will continue to provide us with the excellent leadership and recruiting that he brought to the Goldminers first as an Interim Head Coach and then as well during the Covid shortened 2020‐2021 campaign.” says Derek Callahan, Director of Hockey Operations for the Goldminers.
“We look forward to seeing Kyle work on a daily basis with both new recruits and a solid nucleus of returning players to put together a highly competitive and motivated team for the 2021‐2022 season.”
