For most of that season he played with the New Liskeard Cubs of the Great North U18 AAA League. He saw action in 22 regular season and playoff games with the Cubs.

Most recently Shuker played for the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he was 0-5-0 with an .848 goals against average.

The Gold Miners now have three netminders on the roster; Matis Bureau Morel, Kael Moberg and Shuker.

Speaking to the goalie situation and what will happen moving forward, G.M. Mike Mackley told the Northern News “we haven’t made a final decision yet on what we plan to do in goal.

“We have three high end goaltenders and want to continue to evaluate our options in the short term. Ultimately, we plan to get down to two, but the goaltenders play will be the determining factor in how we move forward”.
