Miners add Ty Cousineau to the Defence Corps

The Kirkland Lake Gold Miners are pleased to announce they have obtained the rights to 1997 born D-man Ty Cousineau (Minnetonka, MN) from the Melville Millionaires of the SJHL.  Ty started the year with the Brooks Bandits of the AJHL and is expected to bring solid two-way play to the blue line.  Cousineau is a 5’ 11’, 185lb defenceman who likes to contribute at both ends of the rink. Upon hearing of the trade Ty had the following comments: “I am anxious to play for Kirkland Lake and contribute to the winning tradition, I’m excited to be moving to Kirkland Lake and play for some great hockey fans”.
