The Gold Miners are happy to announce that they have signed 19 year-old power forward Garrett Nichol. The Newmarket-born Nichol suited for the Almonte Thunder of the EOJHL last year where he finished 2nd in team scoring with 21 goals and 22 assists for 43 points in 41 games.
“Garrett’s 6’2”, 225 lbs frame will create mismatches versus most of the opponents’ defensemen and will create more room for the smaller players to be creative”.
“There were times last year where I felt we were getting banged around a little too much and having these two players will add some needed-size and strength to our squad”.
